The Pierce Lab

Outreach

Science teachers at Pasadena-area high schools are encouraged to arrange a visit to the Pierce Lab at Caltech. The foremost goal of these trips is to excite high school students about the process of scientific discovery. Visiting students will see a short talk on some engaging research topic, perform an experiment, talk to graduate students about life in a research lab, enjoy a barbecue lunch, and take a tour of the Caltech campus led by undergraduate tour guides.

This program is funded by the National Science Foundation. Allowances are provided for busing and incidental teacher expenses.
